I was completely blown away by this archive. There's so much colour and light; the images jump off the page. She humbly refers to herself as an amateur photographer. Well, fuck. As someone that is known to use this term to describe herself, I think I'll have to rethink it. I can only hope to one day create images with so much warmth and integrity.

DOTW Emanuelnoire

I was first curious about Emanuelnoire's work when I saw the thumbnail of the Angel pic he manipulated. I actually thought it was a Shane-esque chick doing a gender play with Angel. hehe
But, as it turns out, it is a guy from Poland. This is an interesting gallery, if you have time to really look through, I recommend it. It's like a snapshot, pardon the pun, of a person's life. There's so much about this guy that you get from his photos, it is quite the walk-through of his existence.

laurytah has a definate journalism flare. They'd be great working for some glossy mag. They're sense of colour is really unique, sparing and yet effective. DeviantArt, however, is proving that nothing in this cyber-world of ours remains free forever.

DOTW LanceUSA

LanceUSA offers largely black and white waterscapes with the occasional portrait or still life in the mix. I'd love to know where he's from, where these shots were taken. After a little lookin around I discovered he has his own site, and he's recently received a Merit Award in Black & White Magazine's 2007 Single Image Contest Awards. I don't think that issue has made it to Australia yet, I'm looking forward to it.
